Every home you look after, in one app.
HomeRunner keeps more than one home on one account: the house you live in, a cabin, a rental, a parent's place, or the places you host for short stays. Each home keeps its own items, manuals, maintenance schedule, shutoffs, contacts, and people. Your phone shows one at a time and switches in a tap.
Coming soon to the App Store.
How it works
- Add another home. Under More, Household & account, choose "Create another home", or "Join another home by code" when someone invites you to theirs.
- Switch with a tap. Each home's card has "Show this home on this phone". The phone then shows that home: its items, checklist, tasks, history, shutoffs, and contacts. Reminders come for the home the phone is showing.
- Nothing gets mixed up. An item added while a home is shown stays in that home, whichever home you look at later. The home binder is the PDF of the home you are showing.
- Labels find their home. Scan a HomeRunner label or a barcode and the item opens, whichever of your homes it is in.
- Each home has its own people. Invite your partner to the house, a co-host to the rental, and your brother to your parents' place. Each sees the homes they have joined and nothing of the others.
Airbnb and short-term rental hosts
A rental is a home that someone else lives in for a week at a time, and things break when you are not there. HomeRunner gives each property its own record, so the answers are on your phone when a guest calls.
- One home per property. The water heater, the HVAC, the hot tub, the smart lock, the washer: each with its photo, model, manual, and service history, kept apart from your own house and from your other rentals.
- Shutoffs when a guest calls about a leak. The emergency page for each property says where the water, gas, and breakers shut off, with photos and steps, and it opens with no signal. Read it to the guest over the phone, or send your cleaner straight to the valve.
- Your cleaner and co-host, one property at a time. Invite them to the rental they look after with a code that lasts a day. They sign in with their own account and see that property and nothing else of yours. When they replace a filter or call out the plumber, they log it, and it is on your phone too.
- Upkeep between stays. Filters, hot tub water, smoke detector batteries, the dryer vent: each property keeps its own schedule, so the turnover checklist does not live in your head.
- The vendors for each place. The pool service at the lake house is not the one in town. Each home keeps the people who work on it, with their number and what they did on which item.
- Costs and receipts, ready for tax time. Scan a receipt or a work order and it lands in the item's history with the vendor, the date, and the total. The binder puts a property's items, costs, and history in one PDF.
- Labels for the people who belong there. Put a QR label on the water heater or the breaker panel. Your cleaner or co-host scans it and gets the manual and the last service. A guest who scans it sees only that it is a HomeRunner label.
Guests do not need the app, and nothing in HomeRunner is shown to them. HomeRunner is not affiliated with Airbnb.
What it costs
Your HomeRunner Premium subscription covers your first home, for everyone in it. The Additional homes plan covers the homes after it: +1 home for $19.99 a year, +2 for $29.99, +5 for $49.99, or +10 for $79.99. A home is covered when any member's plan covers it, so the people you invite do not need Premium to use your rental. Homes that someone else's plan covers do not count against anyone's limit either, so a cleaner who keeps their own house in HomeRunner can join every rental they look after for nothing. A host with their own house and two rentals pays for Premium plus +2. Looking after more than eleven homes? Email [email protected].
